(WyllieDH, Crook DW, Peto TEA. Mortality after Staphylococcus aureusbacteraemia in two acute hospitals in Oxfordshire, 1997–2003: cohort study. Brit Med J. 2006, 333:281–4). 多年前造成大家極度恐慌的SARS, 其死亡率則為10%左右, 可見MRSA有多可怕! 美國每年因MRSA院內細菌感染而枉死之寃魂比因HIV/AIDS而死之病人還多!
